Are you shopping around for a new computer? Consider buying a laptop. Laptops use 50 percent of the energy used by a typical desktop PC when plugged in and just 1 percent of the energy when running on batteries
Double-sided printing
To print double-sided documents on a printer that has no double-sided feature, after selecting "Print," select "Print: Odd Pages," then "Send to Printer." Once all odd pages have come out of the printer, replace these pages in the paper feed tray so that the printer will print on the back/blank side of the paper. Return to your computer and now select "Print: Even Pages."
Reusing paper
At work, before you recycle paper, turn it blank side up (if it has one) and place it in a skinny three ring binder or on a clipboard. Use this, instead of a new pad, for all note taking.
