As important as it is for us to improve our sustainability efforts, we also reach out to educate our associates and customers about Publix Seafood Sustainability.
Since 2007 we have conducted training seminars with our seafood associates. We began with the basics of seafood sustainability, outlined a high-level direction
for improvement and are now focused on the details of our program and its implementation.
Efforts to educate our customers are beginning to take shape. We want our customers to be able to make informed decisions regarding their seafood purchases, so, we are working on improved ways to supply
our customers with access to information such as the source fishery catch method, along with the data and information behind our evaluation process.
